Sundarban Tour-2 Nights & 3 Days

Itinerary:

 First Day

Welcome you to the Sundarban Tiger Reserve, biggest Mangrove forest and a World Heritage site declared by UNESCO in the year 1985 and was made a biosphere Reserve in 1989.

Our  journey will start in the morning at 08:30 AM ( Reporting time : 8:00 AM) from Esplanade (Near K.C.Das Confectionery) . Refreshments will be served on the way with a brief stopover for tea. On arrival at Godkhali Jetty you will be greeted by our local guide and transferred to the boat. Proceed to Gosaba to visit Hamilton Bungalow and Rabindranath Tagore Bunglow then we cruise through rivers Gomor, Durgadhwani to enter River Pitchkhali , afterward  we will proceed to our resort just opposite to the  Sunderban Tiger Reserve.

Lunch will be served on the deck and after lunch proceed to visit Bird’s Island on the way to the Resort. Watch the spectacular sun set in the distant horizon.

Check into our Resort. After little relax in your room, join us for Tea with snacks to watch Adivasi  Jhumur dance performed by the tribal people of Sunderbans. They show happiness and hardships in their lives through dance.   Dinner will be served at 8:30 PM.

Second Day

Wake up at 6:30 AM and a hot tea will be served in your room. Breakfast at 8 AM and board the Boat at 8.30 AM for a thrilling cruise   towards Sajnekhali Watchtower and Mangrove Interpretation Centre, then proceed to Sudhanyakhali Watchtower on the way to Dobanki  WatchTower as we move into the Sundarban Tiger Reserve Forest through creeks and dense forest and numerous rivers

The canopy walk at Dobanki WatchTower inside the forest sends chills down your spine. After that we visit  Panchamukhani, Pirkhali, Gajikhali  by Boat which we cruise back through Matla – Sea Face (the point from where Bay of Bengal can be seen) . Hot lunch will be served on the deck.

Walk to the disembarking towards the watchtower, searching for the elusive tiger. Keep a look at the sweet water pond where you may see a deer drinking water or a water monitor lizard basking in the sun as well as monkeys and wild boars may be sighted nearby.

After the jungle safari return to the resort.   In the evening join us for Tea and enjoy Baul Folk songs performed by local artiest . Dinner will be served  at  9:00 PM.

Third Day
Wake up at 6 AM with a hot cup of tea in the morning. After breakfast, you will experience the true Sunderban, as you walk through the native village of Jamespur. You will encounter many wonderful sights as you learn about the lifestyle, local crafts, cuisines, and way of life of the local villagers. Observe their indigenous farming methods and mud houses made with small entrances. Check out will be at 9 AM.

After an early lunch around 11:00 (Packed Lunch) you will be transferred back to Godkhali. For your onward journey to Kolkata / Home. Tour End
